1988 Newcastle Preschool Music
Over the years Newcastle has become respected for its outstanding Early Childhood Education music program.
Children learn and develop by participating in music activities. Kathleen has consistently placed a premium on teachers with music backgrounds. The school always has staff that play the piano and music sessions always feature live piano or guitar accompanyment. In the late 1990s Kathleen created a dedicated staff position of Music Specialist and since that point the overall program and each class music session have been directed by an experienced music director.
Props and instruments are still an integral part of teaching concepts through music at Newcastle.
