3-4 Preschool Math, Art & Science
Throughout the 3-4 preschool year, students begin exploring and having fun with number concepts, introductory science ideas and creative art. Our academic goals are to help these young children begin to pattern, sort and classify colors, numbers and shapes. Group and individual centers provide opportunities to question and experiment as children learn about quantity, size, form and numerical relationships. During this year, children practice recognizing and understanding the numbers 1-10. Students are given the opportunity to manipulate materials and learn about the world around them as they express themselves through many mediums such as clay dough, painting, gluing, collages and other creative art forms. Projects are simple and fun and become increasingly more complex as the year goes on.
