3-4 Preschool Music, Food & Play
3-4-year-old Preschool students participate in a music experience each day. They learn and practice an entirely new set of songs each month. The songs are related to our social studies themes but are different than those they will learn next year in Pre-K. The students present two off-site musical programs for parents during the year. During the year they participate in new snack and food experiences which are related to their social studies subjects. Play is a vital element of a preschool student’s experience. Taking turns, sharing, interacting within a group, fine and gross motor development and making choices are all skills that are developed in well-supervised, daily play activities. Daily rotations include a session of outdoor play on the playground and classroom free play is generally included as part of learning centers in both the reading and math blocks each day. Daily snacks and all school materials are provided by the school.
