Cowboys Fry Up Flapjacks

Western Days has been one of Newcastle’s weekly themes from the beginning.

Here a 1986 Cowboy makes his class a batch of Flapjacks for snack. Food experiences are a fun part of Newcastle curriculum. Today Newcastle’s Pre-K students still make Flapjacks and Preschool students still make “hot rocks” (biscuits) during Western Days.
